American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
[ASBMB] ASBMB is a non-profit educational and scientific society with more than 10,000 members that all have interest in biochemistry and molecular biology. Research of this society is done at universities, colleges, government laboratories, and non-profit research institutions.
The American Society for Cell Biology
[ASCB] The goal for this society is to unite the different topics of cell biology for the increase in scientific knowledge in the area of cell biology.
British Society for Developmental Biology
[University of Edinburgh] (Jaime Davies) The main purpose of this society is to represent developmental biology to external organizations in Europe and the UK. Research information is published in Development, the Journal of Cell Science, and the Journal of Experimental Biology.
Description of the Electrophoresis Society
[Electrophoresis Society] The Electrophoresis Society is an international society whose purpose is to improve and promote technologies in biomolecular detection and separation. Techniques include capillary, free-flow, and gel systems.
Federation of European Biochemical Societies
[FEBS] (Peter Ott) The goal of this organization is to help with the advancement in biochemistry and molecular biology through research and education. This is accomplished by promoting meetings among its members and publishing new research information in biochemical research journals.
The Histochemical Society
This society was founded to increase knowledge and promote the study of tissue and cell biology. The techniques used in this process are morphological and molecular. This society also publishes the Journal of Histochemistry and the Journal of Cytochemistry to publish findings related to these fields.
The International Cytokine Society
[ICS] This society has open forums, conferences, newsletters, links, commercial resources, and journal access.
International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
[IUBMB] (Peter Ott) The purpose of this society is to increase education and research in biochemistry and molecular biology. This is done through international meetings, conferences, and providing financial support for topics of interest in these fields.
Formed in 1993 to facilitate sharing and dissemination of experimental results and emerging concepts in ribonucleic acid research.

Society for Developmental Biology
[Purdue University] (SDB) The purpose of this society is dedicated to increase the public’s understanding of developmental biology, and promote educational excellence in developmental biology.
Society for In Vitro Biology
[SIVB] The purpose of this society is to encourage the exchange of knowledge of in vitro biology of cells, organs, and tissues from animals and plants. This knowledge focuses on biological research, applications, and development that is significant to the society and science.
Society for Neuroscience
[SFN] Neuroscientists investigate the molecular and cellular levels of the nervous system; the systems within the brain, such as vision and hearing; and behavior produced by the brain. This research provides the basis for understanding the medical fields concerned with treating nervous system disorders. These medical specialties include neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry.
Welcome to the Canadian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular & Cell Biology
[CSBMCB] The purpose of this society is to support and increase knowledge of biochemistry. This society is made up of professionals in molecular and cell biology and biochemistry.
