[Celera] Celera Corporations scientific home page that provides Celera and related biotechnology news and password access to the Celera Discovery System of genomic databases and analysis tools.
[Cambridge Software] This is a web-based chemical index which addresses some of the weaknesses in non-chemical search engines. The user can search for a chemical name, CAS Number, molecular formula, or molecular weight. Free registration is required.

[Universities of Glasgow] A searchable dictionary of 5772 cross-refereneced Cell Biology terms. The site also has a graphical interface that helps users find terms in the dictionary by subject area.

[Wiley Interscience] ULLMANN?S Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry details scientific and technological knowledge in all areas of industrial chemistry.
Genetic Data Environment
[Bioinformatics and Molecular Analysis Section – NIH] This is a manual and guide on how to use the Genetic Data Environment software, which is an expandable GUI for multiple sequence analysis.

International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry
[IUPAC] A database of the standards and recommendations for naming and measuring in chemistry. This site contains the joint recommendations of IUPAC and IUBMB (International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) for naming biological molecules such as amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, etc.
List of Bacterial Names with Standing in Nomenclature (LBSN)
[Ecole Nationale Veterinaire de Toulouse (The National Veterinary School of Toulouse)] An alphabetically and chronologically searchable database of the valid nomenclature of bacteria. It also includes the nomenclature changes as cited in the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names, published, or validated in the International Journal of Systematic Bacteriology.

Straight Talk about Biotechnology
[DuPont Biotechnology] Straight Talk about Biotechnology provides science-based information about agricultural biotechnology in an environment that encourages open discussion. The site includes a newsroom that is updated each day. Although Straight Talk is sponsored by DuPont, the site is educational, not commercial.
[ExPASy] A quiz comprised of 10 questions chosen at random related to Molecular Biology; individuals with perfect scores are entered for monthly drawings of Swiss chocolates.
