Meet Darwin, our 32-node Beowulf cluster.
The Southwest Biotechnology and Informatics Center (SWBIC) provides
a single-point access to a vast store of widely distributed
biotechnology information as well as developing new educational
and bioinformatics services. SWBIC encourages information sharing
between researchers in Academia, Industry, Government, and the
Department of Defense, promotes biotechnology in Historically Black
Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs), and
provides training in biotechnology. SWBIC also supports biotechnology
research at New Mexico State University and the local southwest
region by providing computing and laboratory infrastructure and
expertise to researchers. SWBIC was funded initially by Grant#
DAAH04-96-1-0415 from the US Army Research
Office and is located at New Mexico State University.
Following are awards SWBIC has received for its website.
